A large grand scale 83cms(nearly 3 foot) Bronze snarling dog sculpture signed Godet.
A traditional foundry built bronze casting with a hollow core, this heavy substantial statement piece strictly requires a two man lift.
The sign post reads “PASSED AULARG” possibly a French variant text for the export market ie Pass Widely.
Originally conceived by Charles Valton mainly as a small desk top version. This grand scale design could be from the workshop of sculptor Henri Godet (1863-1937) whose signature is cast into the bronze base.
This large imposing piece offers incredible visual impact. £1,500
