Good quality early 19th century Georgian bow front mahogany bedside commode. This was made to look like bedroom furniture, but in fact the tambour door and drawer are false. Lift the lid to reveal a carved sealed lid for the ceramic pot, push the unit down to the floor for use and it raises back up into position by hidden counterweights. Now a lovely piece of furniture Finished off with brass side handles.
